I am playing the Baywood Ale House tonight and I can't wait - I've been feeling drowned by so many different gigs and playing a certain type of music and this is my chance to let loose and play my originals and what I want to play! I am hoping lots of improvisation will happen tonight. I need it. I have realized something about myself. I don't like playing songs perfectly or planning out a beautiful arrangement. I like letting loose, forgetting about the plan and letting my hands and my instincts create something totally unique on the spot. So hopefully I'll have the guts to do some of that tonight... I'll share another blog afterwards to tell how my little self-experiment went...lol. Thank you to Jon Star for creating a safe welcoming space for artists to create and share their work with the community. I can't wait!
